Aside from being a typical Monday, this afternoon I have an appointment with a medical professional who will come to my office and do a “physical” on me for insurance purposes.

While not a real physical in every sense of the word, I guess it will involve taking blood, urine, blood pressure, height and weight.

This is due to the fact that during benefits enrollment, I opted to take the 60% long term disability instead of the standard 50%. Seems like a lot of red-tape for a few extra bucks should I on the oft-chance become disabled.

Maybe it was because I answered “unknown” on my cholesterol levels on the application. I’m sure I’ll hear about it because I haven’t had them tested for over two years and both of my parents have dealt with sluggish arteries.

I know my blood pressure is normal. I check it every time I go to the grocery store.
